The Crown emerged as one of last year’s most acclaimed productions. Now, The Crown Season 2 trailer is upon us. It promises the hours of tempestuous drama that many expected from Season 1. A “wild spirited” Prince Philip (Matt Smith) seems to have a wandering eye. Princess Margaret (the underrated Vanessa Kirby) goes on a sexual awakening after last season’s heartbreak.
“I know who I am—a woman for the modern age—free to live, to love, and free to break away,” she proclaims.
And dealing with it all is Claire Foy’s Emmy-nominated turn as Queen Elizabeth. Remember this season marks her final appearance as the queen. Olivia Colman takes over next season.
Season 2 premieres on Netflix December 8.
