She did it on her Instagram as a follow-up to last night’s appearance on the Golden Globes. It’s been a very competitive year – that Mudbound has to struggle as hard as it has for recognition is frustrating. It isn’t just that Mudbound is one of the best films of the year, and it isn’t just that it’s about something much deeper than what it’s being dismissed as, it’s that there is a phony baloney reason behind why it isn’t being recognized and everyone knows it and yet no one is saying anything about it. Critics are hiding behind what they believe is a valid defense of their objections to Netflix, and probably actors are resistant for the same reason – even as we honor films by Amazon or CBS, somehow they’ve decided to fight progress by punishing THIS movie. Well, that’s a shame. Anyway, this is what Ms. Streisand had to say on Instagram:
