#Shuttlegate. Remember that shuttle fiasco just a few years ago when party goers missed all the parties because of heightened security at the Beverly Hilton and people waited over three hours to board a shuttle to the party? Well, that’s all a distant memory.
With the Beverly Hilton hosting the Fox, Amazon, Focus Features, and Warner Bros/In Style parties and the newly opened Waldorf Astoria hosting the NBC and Netflix parties, the shuttle service ran with slick efficiency taking partygoers from Century City to the venue.
We scored an invite to the Focus Features party and the Fox Party. The latter was where we stopped off. The first thing that stood out was almost everyone wore black, men and women alike standing in solidarity with the Time’s Up movement. Men wore black shirts and sported pins showing their support.
Ewan McGregor who won the Golden Globe award for Best Actor in a Mini-Series for Fargo was in one corner. Keala Settle was celebrating The Greatest Showman’s win for Best Original Song. I had a brief congratulatory word with her as she absorbed the moment. Needless to say, as one HFPA voter put it, “There are a lot of winners in this room.” Everywhere you looked, there was a Golden Globe sighting.
Here are some photo highlights from last night:
