It looks like Blade Runner 2049 and War for the Planet of the Apes took the sound editing awards that we usually use to measure comparisons with Sound Editing, right? Not quite sure what that means in terms of predicting the Sound Editing award – seems to be a bit of a mixed bag in terms of match-ups — Dunkirk, being a Best Picture nominee, could easily best Blade Runner or Apes — then again, maybe it won’t. Maybe Baby Driver will best both. You just never know with these. Here are the winners:
