The new trailer for Ben is Back, which shows why the film is so much about the actors. The film, written and directed by Peter Hedges, features arguably Roberts’ best performance. She won the Oscar for Erin Brockovich but she’s better in this, with expressing every possible emotion. Hedges keeps the camera on her, up close and personal, to capture the big things and the small things. This is what actors do best – for women, they really hit their stride later in their career.
