It’s Friday night in LA and Christine Baranski is holding court. It’s a rare occasion that us West Coasters get to have because she’s hardly ever out here, but all that changed on Friday when she hosted COCKTAILS WITH CHRISTINE in Beverly Hills.
If you haven’t seen The Good Fight – I ask, What are you waiting for? Grab a martini and watch! The series is currently streaming on CBS All Access and Baranski shines. The show is currently in its third season and has picked up after The Good Wife.
I’ll share this season’s trailer to whet your appetite on what you’ve been missing out on.
Anyway, back to COCKTAILS WITH CHRISTINE. While she talked about birthday plans and she didn’t reveal what this upcoming musical announcement that we’re eagerly awaiting for. ( I can tell you she’s not going to be Ursula in Rob Marshall’s The Little Mermaid) . She did tell me she would like to do theater again in the future. She also wasn’t aware that Cybill was streaming and she’d check it out. Baranski went on to share a memory of how she’d sit at Book Soup’s cafe while she was out here shooting the series.
We also talked briefly about her reputation on Twitter – the show fans call her Queen Baranski. “Oh, that’s the Mamma Mia effect.” She laughed as she admitted that she doesn’t do social media. Instead, she spends time in her trailer watching MSNBC and The Rachel Maddow Show.
This happened to and that is something Diane Lockhart would be applauding.
I asked Christine Baranski to say “Gay rights!” (And she happily obliged) pic.twitter.com/KJPvZ6P6hL
