Apple held its famed product reveal this afternoon. There, it unveiled a new iPhone, iPad, and most importantly, the full slate of launch series for its upcoming Apple TV+ streaming service. The service will premiere on November 1 to 100 countries, and users will be able to access it through Apple devices (natch), internet browsers, and Samsung smart TVs. It will spread to Amazon Fire TV, LG, Roku, Sony, and Vizio services later.
After Disney revealed deep discounts for its upcoming Disney+ streaming service, Apple countered by offering a free year to anyone buying a new Apple device.
Also revealed today is the full slate of launch programming. We’d often wondered how Apple would compete against the previously established Amazon and Netflix services in terms of content. Then, Disney+ will launch November 12 with an amazing stable of new series and Disney catalog entries. While Apple’s launch slate is on the small side, it does boast many high profile names.
Here is a full list of series and available trailers. We’ll see how broadly the Television Academy embraces Apple TV+ beyond the assumed high quality offering, The Morning Show.
