The Whitbread Round the World race was a sport that was considered to be one of the most dangerous competitions in the world, so back in 1989, when Tracy Edwards expressed an interest to compete, she was met with nothing but resistance and sexism from the world of sailing.
Rather that do nothing about it, Edwards gathered her own all-female crew and set sail. In Maiden, we follow Edwards’ story as she and her crew face the elements to race around the world and compete. Visually incredible, emotional and thrilling, Maiden is nothing short of inspiring.
