Thank you, also, and I forgot to add… my dream projects… adapting Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel García Márquez, Out are the lights by Richard Laymon, Stranger in a Strange Land by Richard Heinlein and Players at the Game of People by John Brunner… and some original screenplays called Wolves, The Game (not so much to do with David Fincher’s, way darker), Milagros, Angola (based upon my personal experiences there, but creating a kind of mix up of real events and fiction, so I can avoid being sued by real people, lol)… it is funny that when at the old Oscarwatch forums days, and we used to play the Film contest, I tested 3 of them and won Cannes with Wolves, and Adatped Screenplay at our “Oscars” with Love in the times of Cholera. Oh, the irony, and the nostalgia of those days, they were so fun.
I am considering, go back to writing screenplays in the next couple of months, when I move to Germany, but at the moment, in my spare time, I am writting a book, after getting encouraged to do so by a friend of mine, Carlos Sisí (The Wanderers) who may be the spanish Stephen King (he lives only 30 kms from me) and specially after asking me to write some dialogue for his next book (geostrategy, given my professional background and international experience). I know it sounds SO arrogant, but trust me, I am more self aware than I sound, and certainly I do not see something of really special merit in my trajectory… I made my choices in my life, and honestly, I do not regret dropping my filmmaking interests back in 2006, because I filled the void with my marriage… still, I never stopped learning, analyzing and debating my two biggest passions, film and geostrategy (on the later, I literally risked my life to earn experience).
