KIMI, the ever-prolific Steven Soderbergh’s follow up to No Sudden Move will arrive on February 10th streaming exclusively on HBO Max. Working once again, in genre mode, KIMI is a psychological techno thriller built around Zoe Kravitz’s agoraphobic remote worker who, a la Blow Out, believes she witnessed a murder while online. Aside from the thriller aspects inherent in such a premise, KIMI also plays upon our paranoia regarding the possibility of unwanted surveillance through convenience products (hello Alexa and SIRI!).
While KIMI largely appears to be a one-woman show for Kravitz, the film (written by David Koepp) also boasts Rita Wilson, Erika Christensen, and Robin Givens among its cast.
