Troye Sivan Plays the Hardest Waiting Game in the First Trailer for ‘Three Months’

Before we had rapid antibody screening tests that gave you HIV results in under an hour, you had to wait days, weeks, and even months before you knew you were in the clear from the life-altering virus. Thanks to Miss Rona, we are more aware than ever of how slowly the clock ticks by to receive results.

In Jared Frieder’s refreshing and winning comedy, Three Months, Troye Sivan plays Caleb, a teenager in 2011 who is exposed to HIV and has to wait until the end of the summer to receive a completely negative diagnosis. As Caleb waits, he hangs out with his best friend and convenience store co-worker, Dara (Brianne Tju), and he sparks a close friendship with Estha, played by Viveik Kalra. The film co-stars Ellen Burstyn, Javier Muñoz, Judy Greer, and Louis Gossett Jr.

Three Months debuts on Paramount+ on February 23.
