The Hollywood Critics Association is thrilled to announce the complete list of nominees for its highly anticipated 2023 HCA TV Awards. The HCA TV Awards recognizes and celebrates outstanding achievements in television across various genres, including drama, comedy, limited series, and reality TV. This year’s nominees include a diverse and talented group of actors, directors, writers, and series. From captivating dramas to side-spitting comedies, the HCA TV Awards nominations showcase the incredible diversity and talent within the industry.
This year’s nominees were chosen using an anonymous voting process from the HCA’s TV Awards Committee. The committee, comprised of 27 members, voted in over 70 categories to narrow down the nominees. The HCA TV Awards Committee and Television Branch members will vote on the winners beginning July 18, 2023.
Netflix leads the 2023 HCA TV Awards with 56 nominations. Beef and Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, two of the most discussed shows this awards season, scored multiple nominations in the Best Streaming Limited Series categories. The streaming giant also received numerous nominations for their hit titles, The Crown, Wednesday, and The Diplomat.
HBO leads the Cable categories with 53 nominations. Several HBO series received nominations in multiple categories, including The Last of Us, Succession, The White Lotus, and White House Plumbers. Leading the Broadcast Network categories is ABC, with 44 nominations. Like Netflix and HBO, several popular ABC shows received multiple nominations, including Abbott Elementary, Not Dead Yet, Will Trent, and The Company You Keep.
Showtime’s Yellowjackets and Prime Video’s The Boys scored the most nominations with 14 each. ABC’s hit comedy Abbott Elementary received 13 nominations. The Starz reboot of the cult comedy series Party Down received 12 nominations. The final season of Prime Video’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel rounds out the five most nominated shows with 11 nominations.
Please note: Due to the ongoing WGA strike and the SAG/AFTRA strike looming, winners of the 2023 HCA TV Awards will no longer be presented on August 12th and August 13th. Presentation of the HCA TV Awards Winners is TBD.

ABOUT THE HOLLYWOOD CRITICS ASSOCIATION:
The Hollywood Critics Association was established in 2016 with one goal: to highlight and elevate diverse and underrepresented voices in entertainment criticism and journalism. Since its inception, the HCA has made history as the country’s most diverse group of critics and journalists, celebrating groundbreaking entertainment, visionary storytellers, and incomparable artists that reflect today’s multifaceted global audiences. Fans and industry professionals are encouraged to follow the conversation and celebrate their favorite television shows and talents using the official hashtag #HCATVAwards on social media.
