AwardsDaily Joins Twitter Boycott Today

AwardsDaily will go dark on Twitter today (hallelujah, the people scream….) to protest Twitter’s strange habit of silencing women who confront powerful people, like Rose McGowan and Jemele Hill being bumped from Twitter. As someone who has been harassed for more than a year by swarms of Trump supporters, Bernie supporters and Russian trolls pretending to be both, Twitter really did nothing to help stem the tide of that abuse either. Their passive and selective control is odd. I will be posting here and on Facebook, however. Though I really don’t think silence is the answer – especially on a day where there are important things to be talking about – I stand with the women who have been silenced.
