Lady Bird triumphed at the 2017 Chicago Film Critics Association Awards on Tuesday night, winning four trophies including Best Picture, Best Actress (Saoirse Ronan), and Best Supporting Actress (Laurie Metcalf).
Call Me by Your Name was runner up in the overall awards count with three wins: star Timothee Chalamet won both Best Actor and Most Promising Performer of 2017, while James Ivory took home the Best Adapted Screenplay trophy. Blade Runner 2049 won the prizes for Cinematography and Art Direction, and Christopher Nolan obtained another directing trophy for Dunkirk.
