It is a little surreal posting this here because it’s sort of like a snake eating its own tail in a sense. I started this site in 1999, right after American Beauty won. I’ve decided to try to tell my story and the story of this site – and the internet’s evolution overall – in a podcast memoir. Because websites, when I started, weren’t built for the print model – which is, news written and published as a document – but rather for a newly invented virtual model – which is, fluid and changeable and in a way, alive.
