CINEMA AUDIO SOCIETY NOMINATIONS FOR THE 56th ANNUAL CAS AWARDS FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN SOUND MIXING FOR 2019
Los Angeles, Tuesday December 10 2019 — The Cinema Audio Society announces the nominees for the 56th Annual CAS Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing for 2019 in seven categories. Also announcing the Outstanding Product Nominations.

Previously announced honorees will be James Mangold as CAS Filmmaker and Re-recording Mixer Ton Fleishman CAS as CAS Career Achievement Honoree being presented by Martin Scorsese.
Final balloting for Outstanding Sound Mixing and Outstanding Products will open online Thursday, January 2 and ends Tuesday, January 14 at 5pm PST.
The Awards will be presented at a sealed envelope dinner on January 25th in the Wilshire Grand Ballroom of the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown. During the awards the highest honor of the CAS, the CAS Career Achievement Award, will be presented to Re-Recording Mixer Tom Fleishman CAS, the CAS Filmmaker Award will be presented to James Mangold. The Student Recogition Award winner will also be named.
On the evening of the Awards the Cinema Audio Society website will be updated in real time as the winners are announced.

The Cinema Audio Society was formed in 1964 for the purpose of sharing information with Sound Professionals in the Motion Picture and Television Industry.
