“We’d better get back, ’cause it’ll be dark soon, and they mostly come at night… mostly.” ~ Newt, Aliens
Sigourney Weaver sure knows how to stuff a stocking. Her daughter Charlotte, 19, got a surprise Christmas present: the four Alien films on blu-ray.
“She has never seen them before, believe it or not,” explains the 60-year-old actress who became an action icon as space hero Ripley. “I think she prefers to think of me as good old mum, you know, not some person running around a spaceship with a flame thrower.”
Sigourney is back in space in her latest film, sci-fi blockbuster Avatar. “I love being in science fiction. It’s my favourite genre because anything is possible,” she says.
Blu-ray.com reported 2 weeks ago that Weaver has recorded new commentary tracks for all four films, so the Alien Tetralogy should be available on blu to those of us without kickass moms within a few short months.
