One of the year’s unexpected treasures, Ava DuVernay’s Middle of Nowhere slides up quietly beside and then hits you like a brick. Sasha, Craig and I got a chance to see this today and hope to talk about it on this week’s Oscar Podcast. Right now I don’t even want to post a synopsis because the less you know the deeper you’ll feel it rock you.
