The news piece includes a clip for the film. I can tell by watching it that a certain breed of film blogger – oh, say, aged 18 to 40, are going to love laughing at this film. My hope is that they get over themselves and remember that it’s not just about five minutes of piling on. When Hollywood makes more films like The Butler and less films like “Tentpole 3: 2013” they can snicker all they want. But for now, can we try to preserve something other than sequels, remakes and reboots made for a branded culture with no real choices?
