I just saw The Spectacular Now over the weekend. I knew Woodley was the real deal after The Descendants, but The Spectacular Now sealed it for me. I will definitely check this out. She is going to have a huge year with Divergent coming out soon.
I read the book (don’t ask) and I can attest it’s rather ace, and I’m usually into this kind of material. Trailer looks subpar, but don’t be deceived I have quite the expectations for this it’s all there in terms of emotion. Anyone saw STUCK IN LOVE? Is this director competent? Is he too indie? Those are my main concerns. Why are they trying to make the trailer sound like PERKS? That is worrisome. A24 are coming along just fine aren’t they.
