the talk of Biblical accuracy with NOAH is so odd. the Christian community disdains modern Biblical films by secular artists yet looks with reverence to DeMille’s treatment of the scriptures in TEN COMMANDMENTS. really? where does the Bible say, “Oh, Moses, Moses, you stubborn, splendid, adorable fool!”
Ryan, thank you for that ^ comment. I was about to write an ignorant one of my own speaking of accuracy towards source material and now I have learned that the term I intended was “fidelity.” Learn something new every day.

Why? Because “accuracy to a text” is not a thing. The concept you’re defending is called “fidelity to a text.”
Because “Fidelity to the Biblical Source” is not the same as “Biblical Accuracy.”
I think the title of the this featurette is a weak attempt to weasel around and seeks to placate fundamentalists who want to insist the Biblical account of the flood is historically accurate.
I believe there’s a fundamental problem with the phrase “Biblical Accuracy.” I think it’s silly to see people timidly trying to say, “Oh please don’t worry. We know this movie doesn’t faithfully reflect the accuracy of The Bible.”
The tone you call “derogatory” is only the tone I use when I’m skeptical.
