What is it about Scarlett Johansson that inspires her to be cast in these otherworldly parts? Is it that no one can really handle what she brings? Intelligence and sexiness? She is almost too good to be believed, perhaps that’s why Under the Skin, Her and now Lucy launch Johansson into her own genre.

Good actress but I don’t like her politics.
Scarlett Johansson is one of those actresses who is timeless as she is both modern looking and classic looking. Whie I love seeing her nowadays I can only help but think about how many of the great directors would have used her. Scarlett is astonishing in Under the Skin and upstages every male in CA: TWS to a point where once again I pled for a solo film if only to be an origin story. I’m excited for Lucy and whatever comes next hoping she follows an incredible 2013 with an equally great 2014. From bet work I have seen this year she is proving how underapperciated i feel she is.
This looks great, and I agree, ScarJo has been on such a great streak lately.
Why they haven’t made a slick Black Widow thriller is beyond me.

Seriously though, if Luc Besson could ever practically get back to the high life — to me i.e. Nikita and Leon days — then it’s going to be a good blast from the past to moi. Or it could turn out to be another way of his to do something relatively lukewarm a la Taken [though not bad for a mainstream flick, I’m not really impressed].

This looks good. It’s a LONG shot, but if Luc Besson is in early-90’s-form this could something. Noirish/contemporary FIFTH ELEMENT with appropriately LEON action? Fingers crossed!
Its interesting that she was in that ad with McConaughey as I feel she’s having her own bit of McConaissance. She had such early success that it felt like Hollywood didn’t know what to do with her for a few years. Now she seems back on the right track. Whedon got a better handling of her character Black Widow giving her more to do in Avengers rather just kicking ass and looking pretty like in Iron Man 2(at the time a thankless role). Best thing about Don Jon. Supporting Actress worthy in Her. Can’t wait to see her in Under the Skin. Sounds like she will merely have a cameo in Chef, but it is Favreau returning to his roots. She sounds like she will have plenty to do in Cap 2 where she will be working with Evans for the 5th million time who she has solid chemistry with. Now this with Luc Besson in a film looks equally smart and stupid in the best way possible. Hopefully a Black Widow solo effort. She seems ideal for a chilly Fincher flick. If Nolan ever dabbled in noir again I’d like to see her take a stab at a femme fatale once more. And I wanna see her work with the Coens again. She’s got range. She’s got humor in her.
