Ghostbusters reboot with women in the lead roles

It’s official. Ghostbusters is getting a reboot, this time with an all female cast. Paul Feig who is best known for directing Bridesmaids and The Heat signed up in Summer.

After much speculation, Feig confirmed that Katie Dippold has come on board as co-writer and will penn the new script for the film which was a huge success in the 80’s.

Feig confirmed the news via his Twitter page:

It’s official. I’m making a new Ghostbusters & writing it with @katiedippold & yes, it will star hilarious women. That’s who I’m gonna call.

He also confirmed in the tweet that the film will feature an all star female cast as the Ghostbusters. The original Ghostbusters were, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray and Harold Ramis. Ramis passed away earlier this year.
