The TriBeCa film festival begins April 22 with “Whatever Works” and ends with “My Life in Ruins.”
Woody Allen’s “Whatever Works” stars Henry Cavill, Evan Rachel Wood, Patricia Clarkson, Michael McKean, Ed Begley Jr. and Larry David as “an eccentric New Yorker who abandons his upper class New York lifestyle to live a more bohemian existence.” No poster, no trailer. But isn’t that photo alone enough to sell tickets?
Nia Vardalos (‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding’) is back with ‘My Life in Ruins.’ ”
Georgia (Nia Vardalos) has lost her kefi (Greek for “mojo”). Discouraged by her lack of direction in life, she works as a travel guide, leading a rag-tag group of tourists as she tries to show them the beauty of her native Greece. While opening their eyes to an exotic foreign land, she too begins to see things in new ways-finding her kefi in the process.
Starring Nia Vardalos, Richard Dreyfuss, Rachel Dratch, and Harland Williams. Opens June 5th. Trailer and poster after the cut.
