Singer-songwriter Tori Amos has written and recorded Flicker, a brand new and original song for Netflix’s documentary Audrie & Daisy. Amos takes you behind the scenes and gives you insight into the inspiration for the song. Amos also talks about why she thinks the song is important to the national conversation we are struggling to have.
A portion of proceeds from Flicker will go to RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network), an organization Amos has been an active spokesperson for, for over 20 years.
Audrie & Daisy is an urgent real-life drama that examines the ripple effects on families, friends, schools and communities when two underage young women find that sexual crimes against them have been caught on camera. From acclaimed filmmakers Bonni Cohen and Jon Shenk (The Island President, The Rape of Europa), the film takes a hard look at America’s teenagers who are coming of age in this new world of social media bullying, spun wildly out of control. Audrie & Daisy is released on Netflix and in select theaters on September 23, 2016.
